Description by the supplier

The Frontier™ 5000 Multi Series centrifuges are compact, multi-faceted, and low-speed, making them optimal for the majority of laboratory applications. The universally-adaptable rotor incorporated in the system can manipulate both round and conical bottom tubes, including common blood tubes, and adapt to more minute-sized tubes with the addition of appropriate accessories.

The FC5706-K model comes installed with an angular rotor, supporting a maximum capacity of 12 x 15 ml. Features include a maximum relative centrifugal force of 4,427 g at speeds up to 6,000 rpm. The system can accommodate a tube diameter of 18 mm without an adapter. Furthermore, it possesses an outer/inner radius of 110 mm at a 32° angle.

UNDERSTANDING LABORATORY CENTRIFUGES:

Delve into the operations of laboratory centrifuge with the Ohaus FC5706 model.

Video Presentation:

Experience a visual tour of the Frontier 5000 Multi centrifuges.

Ohaus Centrifugation podcast:

Listen to an in-depth discussion with Peter Will, the product manager for laboratory equipment at OHAUS, as he unravels the intricacies of centrifugation and the importance of centrifuge safety.

USER COMFORT:

Prioritizing user comfort, the Frontier™ Multi centrifuges are designed with an intuitive interface and easy-to-operate controls that remain responsive even when operated with gloves.

VERSATILITY:

The Frontier™ Multi centrifuges are adaptable, capable of accommodating standard 50 and 15 mL tubes, including common blood tubes. With the use of additional accessories, the rotors can be altered to accept sizes up to 1.5 ml.

SPACE OPTIMIZATION:

The Frontier™ Multi series centrifuges integrate its multi-purpose functionality into a compact footprint, thereby optimizing laboratory bench space.

TECHNICAL APPLICATIONS:

The Frontier™ centrifuges offer a broad speed range varying from 200 to 6,000 rpm with a maximum relative centrifugal force measuring up to 4,427 g. The system comprises 99 program memories, 10 acceleration and deceleration gears, and a motor-powered lid lock. With rotor compatibility extending to Angled 12 x 15ml, Angled 6 x 50ml, and Oscillating rotor 6 x 5 ml, the method of rotor recognition remains manual. Safety certifications include CE and FCC.

Manufacturer: Waters Model: 2487 Dual Absorbance Detector (DAD) Description: The Waters 2487 Dual-Wa (more)velength Absorbance Detector is the most sensitive and versatile absorbance detector for HPLC. Designed to provide the highest performance in UV/Vis detection, the 2487 detector offers the superior sensitivity required for detection of minor impurities, with the linear dynamic range to simultaneously quantitate major and minor components for both routine and complex applications. It is a two-channel, tunable, ultraviolet/visible (UV/Vis) detector designed for high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) applications. Operates from 190-700nm. This detector features a patented TaperSlit flow cell ensuring the highest sensitivity while maintaining optimal spectral performance. Features: - Stand-alone programmability- Stores up to 10 user-defined programs (or methods) consisting of up to 16 programmable timed events and 2 threshold events each. Single or dual wavelength.- Monitors absorbance at one or two discrete wavelengths.- Wavelength verification reference -Ensures wavelength accuracy.- Automatic second order filter -Automatically engaged for wavelengths 370 nm and greater and removed for wavelengths 369 nm or less.- Spectrum scan and storage -Supports spectrum scan, display, subtraction, storage, and playback, in addition to standard tunable absorbance and UV/Vis functionality.- Cuvette qualification.- Facilitates qualification of the detector by insertion of a standard in a cuvette without breaking any fluidic connections. Waters qualification kits are available in cuvette form to support this feature. This feature also allows you to use the 2487 Detector as a benchtop spectrophotometer.- Cuvette sample analysis.- Allows the spectrum of any sample placed in the cuvette to be recorded.- Method editing and storage -Supports basic method programming, storage, and retrieval from the front panel.- Full diagnostic capability -Supports built-in diagnostic tools to optimize functionality and performance. Specifications: Electrical requirements and power supply:- 100-240 V- 50/60 Hz- 145 VA- F 3.15A / 250V Items delivered: - Waters 2487 Dual Absorbance Detector (DAD) Condition: The Waters 2487 Dual-Wavelength Absorbance Detector in very good cosmetic as well as working condition.
